Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf

Oct 16, 2020

The leaves are changing colours (here in the Northern Hemisphere). It’s time to cozy up with your little one to learn about trees, leaves and the changing seasons.

I love all of Lois Ehlert’s books and this is no exception. They are brightly coloured collage picture stories about nature and kids love them!

This is a perfect book for fall.

The explosion of colour, cut out leaves, big print and simple story about the life cycle of a sugar maple tree will engage early readers and little ones. Teachers or parents who are home schooling or looking for a way to theme a class lesson or bring in crafts and activities will love this book.

It’s time to get creative and start collecting leaves.

Helps with: appreciating nature, learning how to plant and grow a tree, understanding the life cycle of a tree and changing seasons, creative ideas for craft projects (leaf themed) and teaching about trees.
