I know many of you are new to being home with your kids—all day, every day. Even if you were home with them before, now it’s in a new and different way.
We’re all feeling a little shaky right now, and it doesn’t take long for our nerves to fray when everything’s upside-down in the world. Add on kids who are anxious, bored, or confused and you’ve got a recipe for disaster.
If your kids are spending more time on their screens, don’t beat yourself up. It’s not the end of the world. Acknowledge you have a huge job managing the new feelings, questions, extra time together, financial stress, and ever-evolving parameters of social distancing. It’s a crazy moment in history!
You are still the Ruler of your Queendom.
It’s all going to be okay. You’ve got this. Keep focusing on your strengths, and give yourself a lot of credit for what you juggle in a day.
If some days seem like a write-off, let them be a write-off!
