My Empty Nest: Letting Go of What I Held So Tight

Hello my friends,

How have you been? I hope September has brought some unexpected joys your way.

It’s been a few weeks since I launched my youngest into her first year of university and I’m still sorting myself out. Last weekend, for the first time without my kids, I went apple picking at the farm we always went to together.

I had to drag myself out the door because I just couldn’t imagine doing it without them.

But I did do it, and I’m so glad I did—because it turns out I can manage these uncomfortable feelings. I realize I’m in a new phase of learning just like they are.

I wanted to share this episode of the Love Who You Are Podcast, where Bija, Candice, and I talk about empty nesting.

Listen here to learn more.

I’d love to hear about the big transitions in your life.

Big love,
Carolyn
